Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 20, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is processed in connection with the cargo-plug.com website and the CargoPlug plugin for WooCommerce. It is written to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Data controller

The controller of personal data described in this Policy is VIDEOSPACE Sp. z o.o., registered in Poland, VAT ID: PL7861718889. Contact: contact@cargo-plug.com.

2. The website (cargo-plug.com)

When you visit cargo-plug.com, our hosting provider automatically records standard server logs (IP address, date and time, requested URL, browser identification). We use these solely for security and technical operation of the site (legal basis: our legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and they are deleted in the normal log-rotation cycle. The website does not run advertising trackers and does not sell any data.

If you write to us by email, we process the data contained in your message in order to reply and handle your matter (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR), and we retain the correspondence for as long as needed to handle it and to document our communication.

3. Purchases and licensing (Freemius)

Licenses for CargoPlug are sold through Freemius, Inc. (USA), acting as our reseller and merchant of record. When you buy a license or start a trial, Freemius collects and processes your name, email address, billing details and payment information under its own Privacy Policy; payment card data is handled by Freemius and its payment processors and never reaches us. We receive from Freemius the data needed to manage your license and provide support: your name, email address, license and plan information, and the address (URL) of the site where the Plugin is activated. Legal basis: performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legal obligations (accounting, Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR). Freemius participates in mechanisms ensuring lawful transfers of EU personal data to the USA (standard contractual clauses).

4. Plugin diagnostics (opt-in)

During activation, the Plugin asks whether you agree to share basic diagnostic data with us via Freemius (WordPress and PHP versions, plugin version, site URL, administrator email). This is optional — the Plugin works if you skip it. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time by opting out in the Plugin’s account screen or contacting us.

5. Data processed by the Plugin inside your store

The Plugin runs on your server, inside your WooCommerce store. In respect of the personal data of your customers (names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, COD amounts and other consignment data), you are the data controller and we have no access to this data. The Plugin processes it as follows:

  • Your Raben EDI credentials and settings are stored in your own WordPress database and are used only to authenticate calls to the Raben TMS.
  • When you create a shipment, the consignment data (sender, recipient, parcels, optional COD) is transmitted directly from your server to the Raben TMS platform in order to produce the consignment note and labels. Raben processes this data under its own terms and privacy rules as the carrier.
  • If you enable the optional PrintNode integration, label files are transmitted to PrintNode for printing on your printers, under PrintNode’s own privacy policy.
  • The Plugin does not send your customers’ personal data to us. Diagnostic logging is disabled by default; when enabled by you, logs are stored on your server and credentials and personal data are masked.

It is your responsibility as store owner to reflect the use of Raben (and optionally PrintNode) in your own store’s privacy policy.

6. Cookies

cargo-plug.com uses only cookies that are technically necessary for the operation of the site (for example session cookies of the content management system). We do not use marketing or profiling cookies. The Freemius checkout, when opened, uses its own cookies as described in the Freemius privacy documentation.

7. Recipients of data

We share data described in Sections 2–4 only with: our hosting and IT providers (as processors), Freemius, Inc. (as reseller/merchant of record), our accountants and legal advisers where required, and public authorities where the law obliges us to. We do not sell personal data.

8. Retention

License and billing-related data is kept for the duration of the contract and afterwards for the periods required by tax and accounting law and for the limitation periods of claims. Support correspondence is kept for as long as needed to handle and document the matter. Server logs are kept for the standard rotation period of our hosting provider.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, to rectification, to erasure, to restriction of processing, to data portability, to object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting processing before withdrawal). To exercise these rights, contact contact@cargo-plug.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Poland, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO, Warsaw).

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The current version, with its effective date, is always available at cargo-plug.com. Material changes will be highlighted on the website or notified by email to license holders.
